Privacy Statement
Effective date: May 24, 2026
Seacons Finance (hereinafter "we", https://www.seacons.asia) complies with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We fully regulate the collection, use, storage, transfer, and disclosure of personal information, and fully protect the privacy rights of users in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, and Southeast Asia. By browsing the site, contacting us via WhatsApp, leaving messages, or subscribing to information, you confirm that you have read and agree to all terms of this Privacy Statement.
1. Scope of information we collect
(1) Personal information you voluntarily provide
- Information you enter voluntarily via WhatsApp, website messages, or inquiry emails: email address, messaging account, and message content;
- Information voluntarily submitted for submissions, business cooperation, or infringement complaints: nickname, contact details, company information, and screenshot evidence;
- Supplementary information for information-subscription activities (optional and does not affect free access to market quotes).
(2) Non-identifying technical data collected automatically by the site
When you visit seacons.asia, the system automatically collects technical information that cannot identify a specific natural person on its own:
- Device information: model, operating system, browser type, and device ID;
- Visit records: IP address, access time, page-browsing path, click behavior, page dwell time, and referrer source;
- Local cookie cache: stores reading preferences and subscription status. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; after doing so, personalized quote pushes and browsing-memory features will stop working.
(3) No mandatory collection of sensitive information
We do not actively request sensitive data such as ID cards, passports, bank cards, or residential addresses. Such information is retained only if you voluntarily submit it for cross-border business matters or rights claims. We do not collect it compulsorily.
2. Permitted use of information
Without your separate written consent, we will not expand the scope of use. We use information only in the following lawful and necessary scenarios:
- Basic site services: record reading preferences and push SGX stock, precious metals, FX, commodities, and digital-asset market information;
- Customer service: reply via WhatsApp, email, or messages; handle market data corrections, infringement complaints, and content feedback;
- Platform operations optimization: count site traffic and popular section reading data to adjust the update rhythm;
- Site security: detect malicious crawlers, spam comments, and rule-violating traffic redirection accounts, ensuring normal browsing for all users;
- Legal compliance: respond to formal requests from public security, cyberspace, and financial regulators in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore as required by law;
- Optional services you consent to: daily pre-market briefings and global information email alerts, which you may unsubscribe from or revoke at any time.
3. Storage and security measures
Storage location rules
Data of Mainland China users is stored on compliant servers in China; data of Hong Kong users is stored separately under Hong Kong privacy rules; data of Singapore visitors is stored separately under PDPA requirements. Without written consent from both sides, user data will not be transferred across borders. If cross-border storage becomes necessary in the future, we will disclose it in advance and obtain separate authorization.
Data retention periods
- Cookies and browsing records: kept for 180 days, then automatically deleted;
- Messages, submissions, business records, subscriptions, and customer-service inquiry records: kept for 3 years after the matter is closed, then de-identified and deleted;
- User-initiated deletion requests for all data: all related records will be deleted within 15 business days.
Security measures
The entire site uses SSL-encrypted transmission and multi-layer access permissions. Only authorized customer-service and operations staff may access user information in a limited scope. We conduct regular vulnerability checks and information-leak response drills. The internet carries inherent security risks, so please safeguard your messaging accounts and do not disclose consultation records to third parties.
4. Sharing and disclosure rules
- We strictly prohibit the sale or rental of any user personal information to advertisers or third-party institutions;
- Only three lawful sharing scenarios are allowed:
- ① After obtaining your separate written authorization, we may publish submitted content on partner finance platforms;
- ② Disclosure is made in accordance with the laws of Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, or via formal judicial/regulatory documents;
- ③ If the platform undergoes a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, user information will be transferred with the assets, and the successor must still comply with this statement; if the purpose of use changes, we will seek your consent again;
- We may only publish de-identified sitewide traffic statistics externally; they cannot be linked to any single user.
5. User legal rights
- Right of access: Email privacy@seacons.asia to request a copy of all personal information we retain;
- Right to correction: If your contact details or message content are incorrect, you may submit proof to request correction;
- Right to deletion: You may request deletion of all message, subscription, and inquiry data at any time; it will be processed within 15 business days;
- Right to withdraw consent: Disable cookies or unsubscribe from emails to withdraw data-collection authorization at any time;
- Right to complain: If you believe we have violated privacy rules, you may file a complaint by email and receive a response within 7 business days. Mainland China users may complain to the cyberspace authority, Hong Kong users may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, and Singapore users may seek redress with the PDPC under the PDPA.
6. Privacy protection for minors
This website is intended for adult cross-border investors and is not available to users under 18. Minors must not submit any personal information to the platform. If a guardian finds a child's data stored here, please contact us for immediate deletion.
7. Statement update mechanism
We may revise this Privacy Statement in line with the latest laws and regulations in the three jurisdictions. The updated version will be pinned to the homepage with the effective date. Continued browsing of the site means you agree to the new terms. If there are major changes in information collection or cross-border sharing, we will notify users individually by email and WhatsApp.
